The Great Malaysian Blog List

| | Comments (0)

Started a new project today, called the Great Malaysian Blog List. Scouring the web over lunch today, i discovered that there were quite a number of noteworthy blog-lists out there, including the excellent Top 100 Blogrolling list, the list of updated blogs in Wander-Lust and Movabletype and many more. And it struck me that i couldn't find a single list where all Malaysian-made blogs (what is a blog?) could be found. Its either that it doesn't exist, or that i couldn't find it. Whatever the reason, i decided that i would attempt to create one.

The Great Malaysian Blog List is born!

Add your blog to the list! (Non-Malaysians are welcome to add their blog to the General Blog List)

The Great Malaysian Blog List (GMBL) is a human-edited list; all requests to be added to the list will be reviewed for approval. The criteria for admission is:

1. The GMBL is reserved as a service for personal sites. Commercial sites (i.e. sites that make some sort of financial profit, will be politely turned away.

2. The GMBL is reserved for sites that do not post objectionable material. Sites advocating racist abuse, irresponsible speech, and pornography will be politely refused.

3. The GMBL is reserved for sites that are made and maintained by Malaysians. How will this be determined? It is hoped that some reference to something Malaysian will exist on the site to make this possible, otherwise follow-up emails to clarify the origins of the writer will have to be made.*

That's it! Three easy rules! If you're sure you pass, add your blog to the GMBL.

* For sites not made and maintained by Malaysians, there is the General Blog List. All bloggers are welcome to leave their link there, although rules (1) and (2) above will apply. Add your site to this list.

Why should i add my site to ANY sort of list?

Notes:

During the registration process of your link, you will be asked for some personal information such as your name and email address. Please be assured that none of this information will be shared with anyone and is only used for validation of your links. I hate spammers as much as you do, and i'll never bring myself down to their ham-filled level.

Also, it may take a day or two based on my personal workload to validate your link. Please give me the moment i need to look your site over in order to maintain the integrity of the list.
