War is coming. No doubt.

I think the 100% vote Saddam just received from his people can mean only one thing: war is only moments away in the Middle East. Had a very interesting chat with Angel Fidelis, a good friend of mine. From her perspective as a Christian, things don't look too good.

As Scott Bakula of "Quantum Leap" fame would say, "Oh, boy."

{ an angel }: i question the legality of any UN resolution sought by the US to topple Saddam.
{ an angel }: i never used to place too much credence on the Revelations interpretations of the Bible, but i think this it. this war will probably be the one the Blessed Virgin said in Fatima, Lourdes, and Medjugorje.
Aizuddin: which one is that?
{ an angel }: this war that's going to be held with iraq, the us, and whichever state is stupid enough to get involved in it.
Aizuddin: a lot of people are going to die and many of them non-combatants
Aizuddin: the US will have to go house-to-house to flush the iraqis out
Aizuddin: beirut anyone??
{ an angel }: it is written in some of the sacred texts in our faith that there will be a war of such proportions never heard of in human history, one that will usher in three days of darkness...
{ an angel }: and basically, Judgment Day.
Aizuddin: could this be it?
{ an angel }: i hope not.
Aizuddin: well... depends on whether iraq has got nukes
Aizuddin: and if they have the balls to use it
Aizuddin: because if they do... the US is going to lose a few major cities (or at least some major european cities)
{ an angel }: Lucia is still alive. but she's frail. she's...close to 90.
Aizuddin: and iraq will be nothing more than a radioactive crater
Aizuddin: Lucia??
{ an angel }: she was the third child to whom the Blessed Virgin appeared in Fatima in the 60s or 70s.
{ an angel }: the Virgin took the first two. told Lucia she'd be alive to see the end of the world.
Aizuddin: gosh
{ an angel }: just some of the mysteries of the Catholic Church.
{ an angel }: i don't like dwelling on it much...but they're all there. from the Book of Revelations in the Bible to the messages of the Blessed Virgin, etc.
Aizuddin: not good
{ an angel }: anyway, i doubt this matters since from your perspective, we're infidels.
Aizuddin: hahahaaha
Aizuddin: very funny, dear
{ an angel }: well, if you're going to heaven and i'm not, you'll surely get the better view.

ps. I highly recommend Angel's site. She's got a true talent for writing and perspective. You'll get a good laugh, cry and scare all at the same time.
