The latest additions to the Volume of Interactions is nearly ready for public viewing. With the assistance of the GMBL Editorial Board, the last week or so has been spent tweaking the GMBL Reviews and Resources (GMBL RR) and the GMBL Forums.
These additions to the VOI are logical extensions of the GMBL (Great Malaysian Blog List). A few weeks ago, i asked myself, "Once the GMBL is up and running, then what?"
The answer: it makes sense to build a community around the GMBL. As much as the GMBL is a community project for Malaysian bloggers, it should also be a place for Malaysian bloggers to exchange ideas, tips and tricks (about blogging mostly, but not exclusively so), and share experiences. The Malaysian blogging community extends a long, long way beyond Malaysia's physical shores. I suspect that many Malaysians living in Malaysia would like to be able to share in the experiences of those living overseas. And the reverse is true as well: what better way to catch up on Malaysian issues than to discuss it with people who are in the country? The GMBL Forums can satisfy the demand for this activity.
The GMBL RR will be a place where the best ("best" is of course relative, and very subjective) blogs in terms of content and design from the GMBL will be showcased. Also, its been planned to include a section where the best blogging resources on the web will be reviewed and highlighted for the benefit of bloggers who are either looking to start out, or maybe thinking about trying something new. Want to find a good blog host? What's the easiest way to start a blog? The answers to questions like these will be found here.
Oh, well. Watch this space. All of this and more will be coming along in the next few days.
