Over the years, Malaysia seems to have had a very unsual relationship with the United States. We need them more than they need us (the US is Malaysia's largest trading partner), and yet Dr Mahathir never misses an opportunity "to say or do something to antagonize them":http://www.khilafah.com/home/category.php?DocumentID=7315&TagID=2.
And the US acts very strangely too. International politics and relations is really beyond me. I don't understand it at all.
