BETA Testers Flood

| | Comments (0)

The call for BETA testers for Project Petaling Street v1.5 has gone much better than expected. To date, beta@aizuddindanian.com has received 98 confirmed applications and 26 inqueries about the test and what a BETA tester needs to do. Still 2 days before the deadline for applications. If you're interested to apply, please do so now.

The following are just some quick answers to some common questions:

  1. What are the responsibilities of a BETA tester?
A BETA tester will be required to test the public submit feature for PPS. Currently all the content you see on PPS comes from the core members. The 20-odd BETA testers will be added to this pool of content providers. Basically, we need to see what happens when a large number of bloggers begin submitting content into PPS. Once the test is successfully completed, submission of content to PPS will be open to the Malaysian blogging public.
  2. What's in it for me?
Credit. You will be given credit on PPS as a BETA tester and a link will be provided back to your blog. There might even be a little something in store for the tester that provides the most valuable feedback. ;)
  3. I use XXXXX blogging tool. Can i be a BETA tester?
Yup. In fact, we want as diverse a mix of testers as possible. So the more obscure your blogging tool, the better your chances for a successful application. :)
  4. How long will the test last?
Anywhere between 7 and 14 days. Any longer only if there happens to be a break down in the system.
  5. How will BETA testers communicate?
An mailing list for the duration of the test will be set up for the testers to use.
  6. Does my blog have to be written in English?
No. Any Malaysian language will do - English, BM, Chinese, Tamil, etc.
