RPK's right of reply

I was quite shocked when i first received word about what you wrote in Msg 7002 of the APA Yahoo Groups website. To say the least, it was extremely disturbing and difficult - your point of view on on the rights of Malays in this country, i imagine, would be highly offensive to the non-Malay community and even to some segments of the Malay society.

I've written extensively on my blog, the Volume of Interactions, about what you wrote - i've also included your later clarification of the "spoof" nature of your original Msg 7002. As you can imagine, some accept your explanation, while others are very wary and feel that you're just trying to cover up a mistake on your part by calling it a "spoof". I have received some private words via email from people who claim to have spoken to you personally in the past. But as i am unable to confirm the validity the information i received through private email, i have not published it on my website. I do, however believe it best that you be informed of what some people are saying.

Having said that, i strongly believe that you need to take a few moments to dispel the negative thoughts and feelings that have been generated by Msg 7002 - and by "dispel" i mean something more concrete than by saying "Malays are gullible" as you did in Msg 7017.

With that in mind, i invite you to exercise your right of reply on my weblog.
